Architects have announced their eagerly anticipated new album Holy Hell, as well as headline tour dates for January 2019 on which they’ll be joined by stateside outfits Beartooth and Polaris.

Having won Best UK Band at last month’s Heavy Music Awards, Architects are gearing up for the release of their eighth studio album on November 9 through Epitaph Records.

The news comes alongside new track Hereafter, and a string of huge UK tour dates. The new album will also include the previously unveiled Doomsday as part of its eleven tracks.

Architects - "Hereafter"

Holy Hell is the first Architects album to be released since the passing of founding guitarist Tom Searle.

“In those first months after Tom’s death, I didn’t deal with it at all and I felt so unhappy and anxious,” brother and drummer Dan explains. “I’d ignored it and just tried to cope. But I knew that at some point, I had to learn from it.”

Vocalist Sam Carter adds: “It’s at times like that you ask yourself, ‘What is left?’. As a group of friends, we had to find something.”

Ultimately, it has inspired the band to create new music.

“For me,” Dan concludes, “broadly speaking Holy Hell is about pain: the way we process it, cope with it, and live with it. There is value in pain. It’s where we learn, it’s where we grow.”

The new album will see them take to the road for their biggest European tour to date, including a show at London’s SSE Arena Wembley. They’ll be joined by Beartooth, who are gearing up to release new album Disease, and Polaris.

Ticketmaster caught up with Beartooth at Reading Festival to find out more about taking to the road alongside Architects.
