Alexandra Palace to host new music and arts festival

Kaleidoscope will welcome The Flaming Lips, Ghostpoet and more.

London’s Alexandra Palace will host anew one day music and arts festival this July. Kaleidoscope will take place on the 21 July 2018 at the north London venue, welcoming the likes of The Flaming Lips, Ghostpoet, Dr John Cooper Clarke and more.

The event will also welcome performances by Mystery Jets, The Go! Team, Beth Orton, London African Gospel Choir presents Graceland, Oh My God! it’s The Church, Beans On Toast, Xylaroo, and Dat Brass.

Punk poet Dr John Cooper Clarke will lead the Words and Comedy line-up, with Katherine Ryan, Mark Watson, Andrew Maxwell, Caught By The River, LDN Talks, Band Said The Gun, Jonny & The Baptists, and Mike Garry also confirmed.

Theatrics and Performance will be provided by Rift Theatre, Gorilla Circus, Tin Shed Theatre, The Glory featuring Jonny Woo & John Sizzle, and Molly Orange.

Those looking to party will be able to so courtesy of The 2 Bears, Norman Jay MBE, Mike Pickering, Don Letts, Hop Hop Kareoke, and Soho Radio.

The announcement is rounded off by a Family bill, including Science Museum Activities, Flying Seagull Project, Chickenshed Theatre, and Albion Kids Show.

Kaleidoscope will also host Gastro Avenue, featuring the best of London’s food scene, pop up performances, a vegan corner, and a wellbeing space.

“We’re delighted to bring a wealth of talent from across the creative sphere to Alexandra Park and Palace for Kaleidoscope,” says festival organiser Simon Fell. “On offer will be a selection of world-class music, comedy, talk and debate, theatre and hidden happenings in exclusive spaces, all set against the beautiful London skyline at one of London’s favourite landmark.”

Kaleidoscope will take place on Saturday 21 July 2018 at London’s Alexandra Palace.
