More acts announced for Manchester Pride’s Big Weekend

Blonde, Liberty X, and Will Heard join the bank holiday line-up.

Three more acts have been added to the line-up for the August bank holiday event, The Big Weekend.

Bristol deep house production duo Blonde, The Liberty X Girls, and singer-songwriter Will Heard join the likes of Clean Bandit, Melanie C, X Factor winner Louisa Johnson, and Saara Aalto across the Pride weekend.

Other acts appearing include 5 After Midnight, Pixie Lott, Ultra Nate, Katrina and the Waves, Lucy Spraggan, Girli and Lisa Mafia.

Blonde have reached commercial success with singles I Love You and All Cried Out, the latter hitting No.4 in the charts and No.1 in the dance charts.

Will Heard recently supported Justin Bieber on the Purpose tour, rising to fame with his 2015 collaboration with Rudimental, I Will For Love.

Manchester Pride patrol Heater Peace will also curate Heather Peace Presents on the Sackville Gadens Boutique Stage for a third year.

The Gaydio Dance Arena will welcome Faithless, Simian Mobile Disco, Danny Howard, Ben Pearce, and Hercules and the Love Affair’s Shaun J Wright.

The Manchester Pride Festival, which is made up of The Big Weekend, The Manchester Pride Parade and The Candlelit Vigil, is an award-winning four day event celebrating LGBT life. The event takes place in August, with this year’s The Big Weekend set to run from Friday 25 – Monday 28 August and the parade on Saturday 26 August.
