The Amazons and The Fratellis will headline the Dorset festival in September.
Teddy Rocks Festival will take now place at Charisworth Farm, Blandford, Dorset from 18 – 20 September 2020.
The likes of Skindred, The Skints, Newton Faulkner, A, and Black Futures will join headliners The Amazons and The Fratellis across the festival’s four stages.
The weekend raises money for cancer charity Teddy20, started by the parents of Teddy Rocks founder Tom Newton following the passing of his brother at just 10 years old.
Beginning its life in a country pub, the festival moved to a bigger site in 2016 and the following year secured a permanent spot at Charisworth Farm.
Last year, the festival raised £107,943 for the charity, with all profits from the sale of tickets donated to Teddy20. Since its humble beginnings, Teddy Rocks Festival has raised of £250,000, welcoming the likes of The Darkness, Feeder, Twin Atlantic, Don Broco and Ash to the stage.
This year, headline duties on Saturday 2 May 2020 will be filled by Reading based indie-rockers The Amazons, who released their top 10 album Future Dust last year.
“We’re delighted to be headlining Teddy Rocks,” says vocalist and guitarist Matthew Thompson. “The festival does incredible work to raise money for children with cancer. It’s a cause that means a lot to this band, so to be able to headline the festival and play our own part will be amazing.”
They are joined at the top by Scottish rockers The Fratellis.
“The band can’t wait to headline Teddy Rocks 2020,” says the band’s Baz Fratelli. “We’ve been following the charity on social media for a while now and are delighted to be taking part in such a great event for a worthwhile cause that has always been close to our hearts.”
