Heritage Live have confirmed their third headliner for 2020’s series of shows, taking place at London’s Kenwood House this summer.
David Rodigan & The Outlook Orchestra will headline the event on Friday 19 June, joining a line up including the previously announced Nile Rodgers & Chic on Saturday 20 June and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds on Sunday 21 June 2020.
David Rodigan MBE is one of the most influential broadcasters of a generation, widely known for his unrelenting championing of reggae and dancehall music through his BBC Radio 1Xtra show.
Two years ago the legend teamed up with The Outlook Orchestra, a 20-piece orchestra led by the award-winning composer Tommy Evans, to pioneer a new genre-defining live show that has sold out venues across London including Royal Festival Hall, Somerset House and the Royal Albert Hall.
Alongside their headline performance, Rodigan has curated a full line-up of live acts and DJs to entertain fans throughout the show, including Birmingham musician Bitty Mclean and Jamaican superstars Freddie McGregor and Horace Andy.
Also set to appear on the bill are Yolanda Brown, Norman Jay, fellow broadcaster Don Letts and Channel One – one of the most respected sound-systems in the world.
Nile Rodgers will headline Heritage Live on the Saturday 20 June alongside his band CHIC, known for hits such as Le Freak and Good Times.
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds headline the event on Sunday 21 June 2020, in what will be the former Oasis man’s only outdoor London headline show of the year.
