The line-up for this year’s Stand Up For Shelter comedy gig has been announced.

The yearly event raises funds for Shelter, to support their vital work in the fight to end homelessness and bad housing in the UK.

The show will take place at London’s famous O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Tuesday 31 March 2020.

Legendary Irish comic Dara O’Briain is set to appear at the event. O’Briain, who is well known as the host on the hit BBC panel show Mock The Week and holds the record for the most appearances on the BBC stand-up comedy showcase show Live At The Apollo comments: “No family, and especially no child, should have to face homelessness. We’re going to put on a great night of comedy, and I hope people will come along such an important cause”.

Phil Wang is also set to appear at the event. The comic is currently in the middle of his critically acclaimed Philly Philly Wang Wang tour.

Also set to appear on the night will be Jamali Maddix, who hosts the popular Vice documentary series Hate Thy Neighbor.

Award-winning Rachel Parris will also be appearing at the gig. Many will know Parris from her viral video segments from The Mash Report, which often rack up millions of views.

Completing the line-up announcement is the news that Luisa Omielan is set to perform. The comic recently won huge plaudits for her political stand-up show Politics For B*****s.

Shelter is the leading homelessness and housing charity in the UK, working to defend everyone’s right to a safe home.

In the UK there are 135,000 children who are homeless and living in temporary accommodation, and one child becomes homeless in Britain every eight minutes.

The money raised at Stand Up For Shelter will help the charity continue their fight to end homelessness.

Tickets for Stand Up For Shelter will be available from 10:00 on Friday 7 February 2020 through Ticketmaster.co.uk
