How do we make sense of the madness of our lives once we become parents? What am I going to tell my daughter about conformity and responsibility? What happens if she grows up to be like me? Or, worse, to date someone like me?

Russell Brand has announced that he’ll be bringing his Re:Birth show to the Hackney Empire on the 18 – 19 April 2018 for two very special shows.

Both performances will be recorded, and start promptly at 20:00 on each day. Latecomers will not be admitted due to the live recording.

The two extra shows form part of a wider tour, the latest leg of which kicks off in Cardiff at the end of February 2018.

The show sees Russell approach bringing a new life into the world, addressing the unpredictability of his life.

With a career spanning stand-up comedy, TV presenting, acting, radio and writing, Russell Brand has in recent years become known for his social and political activism. He has released a handful of books to date, including two autobiographies as well as a children’s story.

Last year he released Recovery: Freedom from Our Addictions.

In Re:Birth, Russell looks back on his life to date, from drugs and addiction to politics, detailing how his viewpoint has changed over time and laughing at his own, and the audiences’ experiences.
