For the first time ever, Peter Kay’s classic sitcom Phoenix Nights will be shown on the big screen.

Celebrating the show’s 19th anniversary, Phoenix Nights’ two series will be screened at London’s Eventim Apollo from 3-4 January 2020, and at the O2 Apollo Manchester from 7 – 8 January 2020.

All net profits from the screenings will go to Cancer Research UK, to help fund their pioneering work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

Caro Evans, director of partnerships at Cancer Research comments: “We are so grateful to Peter for hosting these unique screenings of such an iconic TV series to raise money. The money that is raised from the events will fund vital research to beat cancer”.

Each screening will also feature exclusively recorded interviews with the show’s cast.

Starring much-loved comedian Peter Kay and first airing on Channel 4 in 2001, Phoenix Nights is about The Phoenix Club – a working men’s club based in Bolton, England – and follows the lives of the characters who work there as they aim to make their club the most popular in Bolton.

Fans will get to see their favourite characters such as Brian Potter, Jerry ‘the saint’ St Clair, Les Alanos and Max & Paddy on the big screen for the first time early next year, whilst raising money for Cancer Research UK.

Fancy dress is encouraged.
