Stand up comedian Phil Wang is preparing to take his new, playfully titled, Philly Philly Wang Wang show on tour across the UK in 2020.

The comic debuted the show at this past summer’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival, selling out his entire run of shows before the world-famous arts festival began.

A hit with critics, the show received rave reviews from the likes of The Guardian, i and Chortle. 

In the interview above, Phil details his favourite thing about touring and gives fans a taste of what they can expect from Philly Philly Wang Wang.

Since winning Comedy Central’s Funniest Student Of The Year Award in 2011, Wang has become one of the UK’s most popular stand-up comedians, completing numerous sell out shows and tours.

He’s also appeared on numerous television shows including Have I Got News For You, Would I Lie To You?, 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Live At The Apollo, Comedians Giving Lectures and Taskmaster. 

The comic has also written articles for The Guardian, co-hosts a hit podcast with fellow comedian Pierre Novelle called BudPod and hosts the BBC Radio 4 Wangsplaining, in which he explores some of the most contentious topics of the day.
