Comedian Matt Forde has confirmed he’ll be bringing his Brexit Through the Gift Shop tour to theatres around the UK in early 2019.

The newly announced dates kick off at Maidstone’s Hazlitt Theatre on Saturday 9 February 2019 and tickets are on sale now.

After a sell-out run at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe, the comedian and former political advisor will be trying to make sense of the messiness of Brexit in front of live audiences as he waves goodbye to being an EU citizen.

The show’s run at 2018’s Edinburgh Fringe received rave reviews from critics:

“Possibly the best political comedy show on at Fringe” – The Telegraph

“Is there a better political comic than Matt Forde currently working in the UK? I can’t think of another to touch him.” – Chortle.co.uk

A regular on British television screens, Forde is the host of the topical politics show Unspun with Matt Forde on Dave, and has appeared on panel shows such as Have I Got News For You, Mock The Week and Question Time.

Forde also hosts The Political Party podcast and has interviewed well-known and notorious figures in politics such as Tony Blair, Nigel Farage, William Hague, Ed Balls, Jacob Rees-Mogg and Anna Soubry. The live recordings of the podcast often sell out months in advance.

The countdown to Brexit is on, and Matt Forde is on a mission to try and make sense of it all on his upcoming UK tour.
