Viral news reporter Jonathan Pie has confirmed details of a huge UK tour, taking place in 2019.

The Fake News tour kick off in York on 4 October 2019, taking in a total of 38 dates and finishes at The Pavillions, Plymouth on 1 December 2019.

The brainchild of actor Tom Walker, Jonathan Pie is a UK based news reporter, known for his brutal expletive-filled rants on the state of global politics.

The character first came to life in 2015, when a video of the reporter losing it outside of the Houses of Parliament became a viral sensation. The video in which Pie rants about everything from David Cameron, nuclear weapons, Alan Sugar and Matt Damon has had over 1million views on YouTube alone.

A traditional leftie, Pie’s rants are often targeted at the Tories, but he has also been known to criticise the tactics of the left. One of Pie’s most popular videos to date is his response to the election of Donald Trump, which has been viewed more than 150 million times online.

In 2017, the character was brought to life live on stage for the first time, with a run of dates that included a sold-out show at the London Palladium. The spoof news reporter followed the shows with a full UK tour in early 2018. The Back To The Studio tour was a resounding success, receiving rave reviews from the likes of the Evening Standard and Chortle, and selling-out two nights at London’s iconic Eventim Apollo.
