Britain’s Got Talent finalist Kojo Anim will be hitting the road for the very first time, launching his debut comedy tour in Birmingham on Thursday 6 February 2020, and bringing his Taxi Tour to a total of 25 venues across the UK.

Kojo Anim became a household name during the thirteenth series of the hit TV talent show, ultimately losing out to 89-year-old singer Colin Thackery. Anim’s comedy career however began much earlier, having already toured alongside heavyweights such as Kevin Hart, Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock, as well as having worked on CBBC’s The Mighty Truck Of Stuff, MTV’s The Fresh Prince Of Hackney and as a radio host on Capital XTRA.

Kojo Anim Presents The Taxi Tour marks the first time the comedian will be heading out on his own headline tour, running throughout February and March 2020.

Following the tour’s announcement, Anim visited Ticketmaster HQ to open up about the show’s inspiration, and what fans can expect come the new year. Watch the interview above.

“For me, Britain’s Got Talent wasn’t about winning £250,000, it was a chance to get in front of the judges, and to prove to myself that I can perform in front of anybody,” Kojo says of his GBT experience. “My goal was to make it to the final, and now here I am announcing my first solo tour, something I’ve been working towards for 20 years. Since my first audition when Simon pressed the golden buzzer, my whole life has changed and now I can’t wait to jump in a taxi to travel the country making people laugh.”

Simon Cowell was so impressed by Kojo Anim’s initial audition that he declared: “I don’t really like comedians on this show… But I love you!” The performance has since been viewed over 26 million times on YouTube.
