John Robins‘ new tour, Hot Shame, promises to be his most personal yet, seeing him replay horrifyingly embarrassing stories in front of audiences for their amusement, and as John explains in this interview, for their comfort.

Speaking during his Edinburgh Fringe run, John unveils how the show came together, as well as revealing how reliving some of his most painfully awkward moments on stage provides a form of catharsis.

Hot Shame is the latest in a run of shows that has seen the comedian become one of the hottest tickets in the UK. It follows his widely well-received The Darkness of Robins tour, which took home the Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2017.

As well as being a hugely popular stand-up, Robins is also a much-loved broadcaster. Earlier this year the radio show he co-hosts with Swansea City fanatic Elis James moved to its new home on BBC Radio 5 Live, after five years on Radio X.

After a hugely successful Edinburgh run, which was a hit with critics and audiences, John will take his new show Hot Shame across the country throughout September, October and November 2019.
