Leading the announcement is the news that UK comedy legend and Comic Relief co-founder Lenny Henry is set to perform at the event. Henry was awarded a Knighthood in 2015 for his services to drama and charity, and most recently has been starring in series 12 of the BBC juggernaut sci-fi series Doctor Who.

Canadian stand-up Katherine Ryan is also set to perform at the Comic Relief Spectacular. Ryan released her second Netflix special Glitter Room to great acclaim last year.

Longtime Mock The Week host Dara O’Briain will also be performing on the night, as will Tom Allen who is known for appearing on TV shows such as Live At The Apollo, The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice and The Apprentice: You’re Fired!

Joel Dommett, who currently presents the UK version of the hit talent show The Masked Singer is also set to appear.

Also set to bring the laughs for the great cause are Suzi Ruffell, Jamali Maddix and Sindhu Vee, with more acts to be announced soon.
