Glamour of the Kill part ways and cancel Havoc Festival appearance

Sad news just in from the Glamour of the Kill camp, as the York four-piece confirm their split via Facebook.

“After 10+ years of writing, recording and performing the time has come for us to bring GOTK to close for now…” the band said in an official statement. “Whether or not we revisit this in the future is undecided, but as things stand we have no plans to write, record, or tour.”

The announcement went on to discuss the difficulties the band have faced in the music industry, touching on the costs of touring and being able to do ‘anything functioning human beings do’. Read the full statement on Facebook.

Meanwhile Fearless Vampire Killers confirmed that GOTK will no longer be appearing at Havoc Festival 2015.

They told fans on Facebook: “Sadly we have been informed Glamour of the Kill are no longer going to be appearing at Havoc Festival as they are parting ways.

“Also due to the loss of a headline act we’ve decided to move the festival into one rather than two rooms. This is solely to make the show more awesome for everyone involved and will not affect any of the timings or overall location.”

Adding: “That does now also mean that tickets are limited! So don’t hesitate. Pick up the last few and we’ll see you on the 9th along with all the other amazing bands on the line up!”
