Preview: prepare to mosh at Vans Warped Tour UK 2015

Vans Warped Tour UK 2015 is rolling into London’s Alexandra Palace on Sunday 18 October and if you haven’t had a chance to study the line-up just yet, fear not, we’ve got it covered.

It goes without saying that headliners Black Veil Brides and Asking Alexandria are a must, so we’ve picked apart the rest of the line-up to make sure you don’t miss a thing.

Kicking up a ruckus…

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes will be leading by example on this one; the former Gallows frontman has been reborn with his new project and it’s a brilliant sight to behold live. With new single, The Breakers, giving Heck a new sense of chaos, we’re expecting the Nottingham trio to be on their best form at Warped. Memphis May Fire will also be hitting the stage with full force, with Matty Mullins’ Texan screams likely to hurl around the vast London venue. Don’t miss The One Hundred either; the London quartet have quickly moulded their particular blend of electronic hardcore into one of the most energetic live shows we’ve seen from a new band in some time. Expect August Burns Red, Atilla and Chunk! No Captain Chunk! to busy themselves making the ground shake in a similar fashion.

Sing-alongs for days…

Like big hooks and great choruses? Sure you do. Lincolnshire singer-songwriter Rob Lynch will capture your attention with brilliant songs about relationships, growing up and, well, spending a lot of time in bars. Newcastle’s Boy Jumps Ship are packing just as many memorable tracks in last EP Lovers & Fighters. If the last 12 months are anything to go by, it’ll be Moose Blood who get fans singing loud enough to wake up the neighbours. Bryce Avary is sure to have fans of noughties emo just as excitable, as he brings The Rocket Summer over for a rare trip to the UK.

Punk-rock and ska…

With Reel Big Fish never failing to be anything less than a whole lot of fun, we suggest you dust off those dancing shows and pull up your skanking socks now. Anti-Flag will also be on hand for a heavy slice of punk-rock, while American pop-punkers Forever Came Calling and Man Overboard will have crowd’s bouncing like there’s no school in the morning.

Best of the new British bands…

We’re spoilt for new bands in the UK right now and Southampton’s Creeper are at the forefront of the action. Fresh from the release of their new EP, The Callous Heart, their live show just got even more exciting. Hot on their heels (not literally, everyone’s friends here) are Black Foxxes, who are firmly in our ones-to-watch list for 2016. Think you’ve seen Roam at their best? The Hopeless Records signing are gaining momentum with every gig. Look out for Tigress too; the Chelmsford newbies are hinting at very promising things in new EP, Human.

Expect wow moments…

Young Guns are landing at Warped as part of their October UK headline tour and after a little time away, the British rockers have some scores to settle. New albums Ones and Zeroes should sound huge. There’s just no underestimating the mania that follows Fearless Vampire Killers and with new mini album Bruises to celebrate, anything goes. You can’t move without hearing someone hype up Allusondrugs, with NME saying the Yorkshire mob ‘create a mesmerising concoction of psychedelia set to blissed-out vocals that sound like they’ve arrived via some metal influences’. Nice. After their acoustic set at the Vans Warped UK launch party, Ghost Town are gearing up for something altogether bigger and bolder at the main event. Be warned.
